Did you ever want to pay someone to NOT have to attend an event? Save the expense of the tux and little black dress by not joining us on Giving Tuesday, December 3!  Spend the entire evening the way you choose to spend it. Enjoy an overdue night out with friends, make dinner at home with the family, spend date night with your significant other, or throw a company party with your colleagues.  The unGala can only be found online!

A two-month campaign, culminating on December 3, the unGala has become a popular way for people to raise funds on behalf of Girls Inc.  Last year, teams of people had parties in their homes or did corporate challenges against one another to introduce the mission of Girls Inc. to others. Whether you're planning a friendraiser, joining our Honorary Committee, making a general donation or sponsoring the unGala, you are an ambassador of Girls Inc. The funds raised support the after-school programming we provide FREE for girls grades K-12 at our centers in Albany and Schenectady.

Every year we choose a fun or empowering new unGala theme and center all of our titles, lingo, graphics and promotions around it. Our 2019 theme is Female Champions!  Throughout the campaign, we’ll be highlighting inspiring women in sports, nationally and locally, who are role models for our Girls Inc. members.  With no actual event to attend, we’d love to see pictures of people's fundraisers and how people are spending their unGala evening – even if it’s your slippers propped up on the coffee table! Post pictures between now and December 3 of your unGala activities and don’t forget to tag us on Twitter (@GirlsIncGCR), Instagram (@GirlsIncGCR) or Facebook (@GirlsIncCapitalRegion). Please use the hashtag #GIGCRunGala2019
