Susan Rosko Fogarty became Chief Relationship Officer (CRO) of CAP COM Federal Credit Union in 2019, after having served in leadership positions in financial services, music entertainment, and performing arts. 


Active on multiple boards of directors as a founder, leader, and volunteer, Susan thrills in demonstrating the transformative power of people coming together to create positive change in Capital Region communities. 


As Chief Relationship Officer, she leads a cross-functional team to advance financial independence and deliver superior guidance and service to our members and their families over their lifetime. Susan oversees the credit union’s Marketing, Community Relations, Business Development, Retail Branches, Contact Center, Deposit Operations, and Card divisions. 


Prior to CAP COM, Susan served as Executive Director of the Palace Performing Arts Center where she led efforts that produced record-breaking revenue growth. She also spearheaded a project to restore the historic Albany landmark. Before the Palace, she served as Chief Strategy Officer for the Capital District YMCA. 


Susan’s background in financial services dates back to 2007, most recently as Senior Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager for Key Private Bank. During her six-year tenure, she specialized in family wealth and non-profit foundations. In the first 17 years of career, Susan directed sales for major music labels including Sony/BMG and Richard Branson’s V2 Records.


Whether employed in financial services, non-profits, or entertainment, Susan has harnessed talent and emphasized relationship-building for results. Her community involvement, beginning in 2008, is diverse, spanning healthcare, community development, and the arts. As founder of the Women of St. Jude (2014), Susan also currently serves on the executive committee of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 


Susan’s other board appointments include the Mayor’s Advisory Board for Cultural Heritage and Tourism. Alliance for the Creative Economy, the Fair Game Commission, Arbor Hill Neighborhood Association, and YWCA Steering Committee. She is a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement and is also a passionate advocate for families with special needs children. 


Susan’s leadership role includes overseeing the community efforts of CAP COM Cares Foundation, dedicated to improving lives in New York’s Capital Region through vigorous fundraising and volunteerism. Since its inception, CAP COM Cares has donated more than $4 million to local non-profit organizations.
